About Us

Signcast is a small, traditional family run foundry based at a craft centre in the heartof Sherwood Forest.



Here you can watch skilled craftsmen casting in brass, bronze and aluminium, using techniques that have not changed for hundreds of years.

We are famous for our house nameplates - where each sign is individually cast from a wide selection of patterns and motifs. The aluminium signs are powder coated with the background colour and then hand painted by our artists to a very high standard.

Signcast is able to model motifs, company logos and special commemorative plaques to customer requirements. You can design your own sign by



selecting a suitable motif from our huge collection or commission a unique motif of your own choice. Apart from house nameplates our foundry also casts in non ferrous metals for domestic and industrial use.
