Historical Surroundings
We are situated in a craft centre in Sherwood Forest, the heart of Robin
Hood country, a few minutes walk from the Major Oak. The Major Oak, a giant
example of an English oak tree, is the centerpiece of the forest.
With a girth of 33 feet, the tree has, for hundreds of years been the reputed
hideout of Robin Hood. This was once an area of woodland and heath that
stretched over 30 miles from Nottingham to Worksop.
The craft centre has been created within the Victorian coach house and stables of Edwinstowe Hall, it is home to a wide variety of quality arts and crafts, and is open all year round
