This blue plaque was commissioned by the son of Charles Grigg in honour of his Father who was the artist for many children's comics and particularly remembered for the characters of Desperate Dan and Korky the cat depicted on this blue plaque. This plaque had artwork created from the original drawings of those characters, which was then turned into a pattern. This pattern then had a mould made and a solid casting produced with raised lettering and motifs which were hand painted by our talented artists in our studio.
